The inauguration ceremony of the Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC)

The inauguration ceremony of the Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC), Vidyavihar was held on 11th February 2021. The Inauguration was done by respected Dean Dr. Varsha Phadke. She declared the UHTC being open to the community from 12th February 2021. The UHTC will be run by the department of Community Medicine under the leadership of Dr. Padmavathi Dyavarishetty,  Professor and Head Dept of Community Medicine.

The inauguration began with the ritual of breaking coconut by Dr.Dipak Patil, Associate Professor InCharge of UHTC, followed by ribbon cutting at the hands of Dean  Dr. Varsha Phadke. This was followed by lamp lighting by  Dean and  dignitaries. This was followed by a recital of prayer.

The Inauguration was presided by following Dignitaries- Secretary  Lieutenant General Jagbir Singh, Medical Superintendent Dr. Vidya Mane, Professor and Head Dept of Community Medicine Dr. Padmavathi Dyavarishetty, Professor and Head Dept of Paediatrics Dr. Sujata Kanhere, Professor and Head Dept of Surgery Dr Tilakdas Shetty,  Professor and Head Dept of Ophthalmology Dr. Minu Ramkrishnan.
